Thirty years of figuring it out
Josh started as an apprentice in 1996 and worked his way to Master Electrician, running an electrical contracting company for fifteen years along the way. He’s wired snowmaking systems at 9,000 feet, commercial buildings, conveyor lines, and hundreds of homes built anywhere from the 1930s to last year.
What sets him apart isn’t code knowledge, though he has it. It’s the diagnostic habit built from three decades of broken buildings: gather the whole story, start with the easiest thing first, follow the line from the symptom back to the source, and expect the unexpected.
When he’s not working he’s outside: snowboarding in winter, guiding multi-day river trips in summer, thirty-plus years running rapids for Holiday Expeditions.

From snowmaking guns to service panels
Josh learned the trade in places where you can’t call for backup: halfway up a mountain, in the middle of the night, in weather. That kind of work teaches you to look at a job, size it up, and get it done right the first time.
Advanced Electrician, Building Maintenance
Responsible for the electrical systems in buildings across the mountain and base area. Trains apprentices, works with equipment crews on kitchen power, and keeps a resort running.
Master Electrician, General Manager
Twenty-five years at one company, working up from apprentice to Master Electrician and running the whole operation for fifteen. That meant estimating, design/build, budgets, crews, and every kind of job from commercial construction and conveyor systems to residential service.
Mountain Electrician, Snowmaking Coordinator
Helped install a 480-volt three-phase power system across the mountain for snowmaking. Maintained snow guns, pumps, compressors, and the resort grid, worked two major lift construction projects, and ran snowmaking crews of ten.
River Guide
